At the end of tenancies we have to perform a final checkout to make sure a rental property has been left in an acceptable condition before we can return a deposit.
Contrary to popular belief, we, as agents, have no benefit in retaining a tenant’s deposit, as any money retained has to go straight to paying invoices for the extra jobs that need to be done.
