Bells-a-ringing, are you listening……
This Christmas we are sharing lots of different property facts with you. And today it is all about how home movers prefer to communicate!
Did you know, results from the latest home moving trends survey showed at 69% of home movers still prefer to contact an estate agent by phone. From booking viewings to agreeing offers, when contacting an estate agent, people still prefer to speak rather than being emailed, text, what’s app’d or online chat!
We can understand why. Traditional, verbal communication is quicker. You can ask questions and things aren’t lost in “translation”. It’s also far more personal and at JDG, we are all about the personal experience.
Of course, this doesn’t mean we don’t cater for everyone, we understand that people are different, hence we will always ask you what your prefer. For example, many of our clients prefer to speak but also like an appointment confirming emailing across. Other when going through the sales progression, like a quick what’s app to be sent, especially if they are at work!
Great communication is always important, but even more so when we are dealing with sales progression. To begin with it helps in both understanding and setting expectations with our home moving clients. When asked, most clients thought it should take under 12 weeks to complete a sale, the reality is less than 1/3 of all moves complete in this time. Great communication though can speed things up, especially when the telephone is used – Louisa has just completed 3 sales in under 8 weeks!
How do you prefer to communicate? We would love to know!
Thanks for reading
Michelle
Ps. A quick Christmas fact – The Central Council of Church Bell Ringers estimates it takes two and a half years to learn the basics of ringing bells. Fortunately ringing us is a lot easier and quicker!
